Nootropics Reviews: Smart Drug Supplements

Nootropics Review (Smart Drug Brain Supplements)

nootropic brain supplement review

Nootropics & Cognitive Enhancement

First of all, we love nootropics.
Secondly, we love the idea, notion and belief of being able to naturally boost your brain’s performance and mental potential by leveraging smart supplement stacks.
And lastly, of course, we know not all cognitive enhancers are created equally and it is not easy to safely and successfully buy nootropic supplements online without a hassle or a headache.
Let’s start on the surface of the growing and glowing world of smart drugs before we dive deep, but keep in mind this is a relatively new field of brain experimentation and mind optimization unfolding before our very eyes.
As a whole, despite the intense scientific debate and race on how to improve memory and fine-tune focus (among other things), nootropics are the wave of the future.
We hope our 2015 Nootropics Buyer’s Guide will provide the right intelligent insight into choosing the right natural brain supplement for you.
While brain pills may not be brand new, the manner in which many are marketed as in today’s marketplace make it seem as if a real-life limitless pill actually exists.
While our fashion might be fancy and flashy, our chief aim and primary goal on what we offer is all about optimization by showcasing a system on how to select the best nootropics available.

What Exactly Are Nootropics?

Although nootropics are starting to become more popular, many individuals still do not know exactly what they are. In its most basic definition, nootropics are simply drugs that help to enhance the cognitive qualities of the brain. They have been around for many years now, and you may have previously heard them be referred to as “smart drugs”.
Scientific studies have helped to prove that nootropics can boost the average individual’s memory, confidence levels, personal motivation, and overall brain function. Essentially, these compounds have amazing effects on the body that literally anyone can benefit from.

How do Nootropics Work?

A famous Romanian doctor named Dr. Corneliu E. Giurgea created the word ‘nootropics’ in the year 1972. He made this unique word by combining two different latin words: nous and trepein. While ‘nous’ means mind, ‘trepein’ means to bend. These two words fit the concept of nootropics perfectly, as nootropics have the ability to bend the mind and thus increase its pivotal functions, such as the ability to both recollect and focus.
The main way that nootropics work so successfully is because they act as an additive to neurochemicals that are already present in the brain. These chemicals can be a multitude of things, including enzymes, hormones, and neurotransmitters, and all of them help improve important cognitive functions. In addition to improving cognitive functions, they also have the ability to increase the blood supply that is directed to the brain, and increase the brain’s overall nerve growth.
One of the best parts about nootropics is that they are completely safe and do not cause any negative side effects. Numerous studies have been done in order to validate this, and many individuals have taken these compounds for years without suffering from any detrimental effects. We will touch on this subject again in a later chapter, but for now, it is important to keep in mind that there are little to no side effects that you must worry about when consistently consuming nootropics.
What constitutes a “Good” Nootropic, and how is This Different From Other Nootropics?
In order to properly define nootropics and make it clear what is considered a nootropic in the first place, Giurgea made a list of criteria that a chemical must meet in order to be officially considered a nootropic. The purpose of this list was mainly to educate the public and help make it easier for individuals to successfully identify nootropics.
Guidelines That a Nootropic Must Meet:
— A nootropic must help protect the brain and keep it safe from both physical and chemical injuries
— A nootropic must enhance the cognitive abilities of the brain and prevent these abilities from being disrupted by certain health conditions.
— A nootropic must help enhance the brain’s memory, concentration, and ability to efficiently learn.
— A nootropic must not be toxic and must have very few potential side effects, if any.
— Finally, a nootropic must also enhance both the cortical and subcortical control mechanisms that are within the brain.

The Best Places to Purchase Nootropics

There are numerous different types of nootropics that you can purchase in today’s brain enhance supplement market. Additionally, as a consumer, you are also provided with many different options when purchasing nootropics. For instance, you can choose to purchase a nootropic that is made from laboratory-created ingredients, or you can choose to purchase a nootropic that is made from natural ingredients.
Nootropics also come in many different forms, and it is up to you to decide if you would like nootropics that are pills, or if you would like nootropics that come in the form of powders. There are also other types of substances that you can purchase as well, but pills and powders are by far the two most popular that are available for purchase.

Understanding Exactly How Smart Drugs Work

Understanding how nootropics work is not as difficult as you think it would be. Although they may appear to seem technical, you don’t have to be a chemist in order to have a grasp of the basics. But, it is important that you know how nootropics work, simply so you can be prepared for how they will wind up affecting your body. You should never consume something if you don’t know what the consequences are going to wind up being.

A Basic Version of Brain Boosting Supplements

Nootropics do not always have the same effects on everyone, and they can wind up causing several different things to happen within the body.
The first effect that nootropics can have on the body is increasing the number of neurotransmitters that are found within the brain. When the number of neurotransmitters in the brain increases, the brain’s neuroplasticity increases as well. Additionally, dopamine and serotonin levels also start to rise. All of these effects help to increase the brain’s memory, ability to focus, and other assorted cognitive features.
In addition to this effect, nootropics are also able to increase the blood flow to the brain, meaning that they act as what we call “vasodilators”.

Various Health Benefits of Consuming Nootropics

Doctors have been using nootropics for years now, and they are by no means considered to be a new invention. They are oftentimes used in order to help treat patients that suffer from cognitive function or motor function problems, but they can also be used for many other things as well. In fact, nootropics have even previously been used to treat things such as ADHD, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease.
When looking at the many different benefits that nootropics provide for the mind, it should come as no surprise why these products are used in order to treat these diseases and conditions. Nootropics help to strengthen the brain’s memory, ability to learn, level of concentration, and ability to focus.
In more recent times, individuals that do not suffer from these medical conditions have also started to take nootropics as well. Nootropics have the ability to offer health benefits to all types of people, and their health benefits are truly endless.
Below, we have included some of the many health benefits that nootropics provide. This list does not cover all of the amazing health benefits that you can from nootropics, but it does include some of the most common and important ones. Hopefully, the list will give you a better idea of the effects of nootropics and what nootropic products can do for you and your body.
The Benefits of Nootropics:
— Better Sense Of Productivity
— Improved Sleeping Habits
— Less Depression
— An Improvement In Moods
— More Stable Emotions
— Better Coordination Regarding Both The Mind And The Body
— An Improvement In Neuroplasticity
— Protection For The Brain
— Nootropics Are Completely Safe To Take
— A Broader Vocabulary
— Better Blood Circulation For The Brain
— Less Stress
It is important to remember that not everyone that takes nootropics will experience every single one of these benefits. While some people may experience a majority of them, others may not experience any of them at all. Like any other type of supplement, nootropics work better for some people than they do for others, and that is not something that can be avoided. As inconvenient as it may be, everyone has slightly different brain chemistry. Because of this, you may find out that you need to take a higher dosage of nootropics, or simply change the nootropic that you are taking. It may take a little bit of time for you to experiment and figure out exactly what you need in order to have your nootropics be as successful as possible.
But, with that being said, nootropics do work, and they work quite well. They offer amazing benefits that no other supplement comes close to rivaling, and they have few to no side effects. It is most definitely worth your time and money to look into different types of products and discover which nootropic works best for you. Both your brain and body will wind up thanking you for doing so.

The Ingredients That Make Up Smart Drugs

Out of all of the different nootropic products that are currently being solid in today’s market, racetams are by far one of the most popular and commonly purchased. Two subsets of racetams include aniracetam and piracetam, which are also very common amongst consumers. In the next chapter, you will learn about a nootropic stack, and you will also learn that aniracetam and piracetam generally serve as the base of a nootropic stack. There are also other members of the racetam family that are commonly used to increase cognitive abilities, and these are by no means the only nootropic products that both consumers and professionals use.
Additionally, lots of individuals are now also starting to take vitamin B with nootropics, as tests have shown that vitamin B helps to improve cognitive function as well. Studies that have been completed in Europe have shown that Omega 3 substantially helps brain functions, especially when used in conjunction with nootropics. Other popular options include green tea, ginseng, choline, DMAE, and glutamate activators.

Selecting the Cognitive Product that is Best For You

Although we have named a majority of the most popular nootropics that are currently being sold in today’s market, these are by no means all of the nootropics that exist. There are numerous other products out there that you should make sure to take into consideration in order to make sure that you purchase the product that is best for you and your needs. By giving you the names of these products, we are only intending to provide you with basic guidelines.
Always experiment and do your research in order to find the product that will wind up benefiting you most.

Potential Side Effects From Nootropic Products

One of the best parts about using nootropics is that they are natural and not toxic whatsoever. Because of this fact, consumers very rarely have to worry about them causing negative side effects. However, everyone has different bodies and chemical makeups, so there is always room for detrimental effects to occur, and that is something that must be noted. No matter how rare these side effects may be, it is still important that you are aware that they exist.
Potential Side Effects From Taking Nootropics:
Here are some of the most common side effects that individuals sometimes are forced to deal with when taking nootropics.
— Nausea
— Headaches
— Allergic Reactions (This is the most rare side effect)
As you can clearly see, this list is incredibly short. This can mainly be attributed to the fact that nootropics are generally healthy and thus have very few negative health effects that need to be taken into consideration.

Determining What is Causing Your Negative Side Effects

In order to make it easy to find out what supplement is responsible for any negative side effects you may be experiencing, start by only taking a few supplements at one time. Doing so will make it substantially easier for you to determine what exactly is causing the side effects that you are experiencing.
Additionally, if you do start experiencing side effects from not only nootropics, but any side effect in general, you should make an appointment with your doctor in order to find out what exactly is going on. It always better to play on the safe side and make sure that you are not at risk for a more serious health condition.

Using Nootropic Stacks as Effectively as Possible

Although nootropics are incredibly effective in regards to enhancing the brain’s cognitive abilities, they are not considered to be complete miracle workers, and there are still other things that individuals must do in order to make nootropics work as efficiently as possible. In order to make sure that you are getting the most out of your nootropic experience and allowing them to work at their full capacity, here are some tips that you should try to incorporate into your everyday lifestyle.

Always Make Sure That You Get Enough Sleep

Despite the fact that this may be difficult for some of you, it is incredibly important that you get enough sleep each night. Sleep is what allows both your body and mind to rejuvenate, and it is thus incredibly important. Additionally, sleep also helps to reduce stress and anxiety levels, which is very important for overall health. Always do your best to get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep each night.

Take Care of Your Overall Body

Make sure that you are consistently exercising. Although nootropics specifically focus on the cognitive functions of the brain, don’t think that you can just forget about your body. Doing so will wind up being a huge mistake. Plus, exercise also helps to reduce stress and anxiety, while simultaneously giving you energy and clearing your mind. Nootropics work to enhance these effects and increase them.

Maintain a Balanced and Healthy Diet

You should always do your best to make sure that your diet is full of all of the nutrients that you need in order to be healthy. For instance, try to eat a fair amount of fish. Omega 3 is great for the brain, and it will work to enhance the same effects that nootropics also improve. Other healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables, are also very beneficial and should be found in your diet as well. And, even though processed food and junk food may appear to be appetizing at the time, their long-lasting negative effects on the body are by no means worth it.
Also, make sure that you are drinking enough water. Teas are also a great option if you want to switch things up a bit, but limit the amount of sugar additives that you put in your drinks. Both of these liquids are great for not only your body, but the brain, too.

Don’t Forget to Exercise Your Brain

Read, do crosswords, complete puzzles, and take other assorted tests in order to help make sure that your brain stays healthy and active. Learn about some things that you’ve always wanted to know more about, and spend your time doing activities that are thought provoking. Doing all of these activities will help to increase the effects that nootropics will have on your mind.

Be Transformed by Nootropic Cognitive Enhancers

Although you won’t start to experience results overnight, you definitely will in a short period of time. Your ability to comprehend information, learn about new subjects, and focus on tasks will substantially approve, and you will become more intelligent as well.
Nootropics are affordable, safe, and easy to take. They provide amazing results that you simply will not be able to get from any type of supplement. You deserve to have all of these phenomenal results occur in your own body! Once you try nootropics, they will change your life.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Nootropics

Here are just some of the most frequently asked questions regarding nootropics. Hopefully they will help to clear up any questions or concerns that you may have about these products.

When Will I Finally Start to See Results?

Unfortunately, there is no one answer to this question. Every person reacts differently to nootropics, and some individuals start to see results faster than others do. It all depends on your body and brain chemistry, and there is no way to really predict exactly how quickly the supplement will work. Some people start to see results almost immediately, while others only start to see results after several days have already passed.
h3 class=”life”>Are There Any Side Effects if You Stop Taking Them?
Fortunately, there are no detrimental side effects if you stop taking nootropics. However, the positive effects that they provide will start to gradually fade if you fail to continue taking nootropic supplements. But, it is important to note that your cognitive functions will only fade to where you started from before you took nootropics, and they will not get worse.

Are Smart Drugs Addicting?

Nootropics are not addicting, and they will never become addicting, no matter how long you take them for. Although many individuals love the effects that they provide, you will not go through withdrawals or anything similar if you do stop taking nootropic products.

Do Brain Boosters Actually Work?

If you are skeptical about whether these products are actually working on you or not, try to track your progress and see if anything is changing over time. See if you are getting better at your brain games or activities, and pay close attention in order to note whether or not your cognitive functions are improving.

Are Nootropics Right For Me?

The surest way to answer this question is to give them a try and see if they wind up providing you with the effects that you would like them to. Nootropics do not work equally on everyone, but for the most part, they do work quite well.
Test out a few different types of them, and see how they interact with your brain chemistry.

Nootropics Retailers

And the list keeps growing. This how much we know to date – and are constantly updating and researching new products that become available so frequently.
But now, we want to switch gears and transition into particular ingredients and variants of nootropic smart drugs so you can actually know and research individual components that make up all of these brain supplements.

Ultimate List of Cognitive Enhancing Nootropics

As we stated way above, Nootropics are a class of drugs that impact the mind in a fashion significant enough to improve overall cognition (these can also improve physical stamina, or promote physical reactions, such as relaxation and stimulation.) The drugs listed here are in no particular order or category, and instead is an entirely randomized list meant to describe nearly every nootropic drug out there.
The list is all the main drugs on the market that induce a significant nootropic effect, and include both legal supplements (synthetic and herbal), legal nootropic drugs, Prescription drugs, Nicotine, and Illicit Drugs. We do not endorse the use of any or all of these nootropic drugs all at once, and this article is simply written to inform you to make the best choice with the information at hand. Use at your own risk.

Piracetam is the original nootropic drug, was made in the 1960’s, and has effects relatively mild in comparison to the rest of nootropics currently on the market today, when take in standard 800-2400 milligram dosages. Piracetam is often times mega dosed (taken in 5 or ten times the standard amount) in order to boost its effects. When you take a Piracetam, you’ll feel a burst of crisp, clean energy, and will have much improved focus, mental stamina, and memory. Piracetam works on the acetylcholine receptors in the brain, so be sure to stock up on choline while taking it, otherwise a dull headache may ensue.

Aniracetam is up to 5x stronger than Piracetam in racetam-like effects, such as memory, mood, and focus, and has an added anxiolytic effect that is bar none the best in the realm of nootropics. Use Aniracetam is your looking for a boost in cognition even stronger than Piracetam, and if you don’t want to be wiped out to conquer anxiety. Perfect for a stressful event such as a speech or standardized test, or high stakes business interview. Aniracetam also requires the use of choline to prevent a headache as as side effect, and Aniracetam is a favorite among Nootropics guru’s to stack with stimulants, such as Adrafinil, Modafinil or Adderall, to take the edge off the stimulant.

Oxiracetam is a very speedy racetam that has much more of an energy kick than Aniracetam or Piracetam. Quoted as up to 15 times stronger than Piracetam, Oxiracetam is also known as the “speedy racetam.” While you need choline to realize its true effects and rid the racetam headache, Oxiracetam is great for stacking with caffeine, or other stimulants.

Pramiracetam (other than Phenylpiracetam) is the most potent of the main nootropics. Pramiracetam is up to 30 times stronger than the original, Piracetam, and has significantly more potent benefits on the human memory, level of focus, creativity, energy levels, and overall cognition. Be sure to stick to the standard, 250mg-500mg doses per day, as too much of this can make you feel very tired. Choline is an absolute must when using this nootropic.

If it ends in “amine” think “caffeine” or “amphetamine.” Sulbutiamine is a hugely stimulating nootropic drug with a wide range of benefits on focus, motivation, productivity, and energy levels. It is one of the best nootropics out there as a general stimulant, and for a really motivational boost, use mega doses of this in quantities of 500-5000 milligrams at once (obviously gauge tolerance to make sure you aren’t taking too much, as risk of overdose is a possibility if you decide to take this risk.) Better than caffeine and most of the other nootropics currently out there. If you take it, be sure to do so early in the day, usually lasts 6-12 hours depending on the amount taken, level of tolerance, and how well rested you are.

Once again, Tianeptine ends in “ine” however, it’s not solely a stimulant, but also mimics the effects of an SSRI. Tianeptine acts significantly on both the dopamine and serotonin receptors of the brain, causing a large boost in both mood, and motivation. Tianeptine stacks great with stimulants and other racetams, it can both energize you, and help you sleep depending on its use.

Centrophenoxine is a very interesting form of Choline, it is a CDP Choline derivative with many of the same effects on energy and clarity of thought that supplementing DMAE has. Whether or not it is stronger than CDP Choline is highly debated, (with relevance to choline strength at least), effects have a noticeable difference by comparison however. A typical dose of this is 100 milligrams.

CDP Choline

The granddaddy of choline, also known as “Citicholine.” In the online world of nootropics, this is normally what everyone first thinks of, and is therefore your go to form of CDP Choline. It is on par with centrophenoxine in potency, and is far weaker than Alpha GPC Choline, which is the strongest form of choline by a factor of 3-4. Typical Dosages of this nootropic is 250-500 milligrams daily, but this needs to be increased significantly if you are taking racetams or ampakine-like nootropics, such as Noopept or Sunifiram, in high doses.

Alpha GPC Choline

Alpha GPC Choline is the most potent form of choline available on the market today, and is 5 times more powerful than CDP Choline. Alpha GPC Choline also has a relatively mild effect on Growth Hormone, and is thus used by many bodybuilders to improve muscle gains while in heavy weight lifting sessions. For this to occur Alpha GPC Choline must be used over the long-term, and must be taken with both training, and a balanced, high calorie diet.

Galantamine has been dubbed the lucid dreaming nootropic, and for good reason. Galantamine, because of its extreme transmission of acetylcholine in the brain, can significantly increase how vivid your dreams are, your ability to dream lucidly (take control of what is going on within your dreams) and increase clarity of thought. Note that galantamine, like caffeine and amphetamine ends in “amine” this speaks towards its potency as a stimulant and clarity inducing nootropic drug.

Adderall is a well-known prescription drug in business, school, highly competitive universities, and of course, among ADHD patients. Adderall is easily the holy grail of smart drugs, only downside, the withdrawals and crash are absolutely horrible. Adderall, when it comes up, provides extreme euphoria, focus, working memory, and just a larger vigor for life than you ever usually could attain. When you’re on Adderall, put quite simply, you’re the king, everything is beautiful, and you can work through anything in your path in the fastest time possible. Once it wears off however, the downsides become very readily apparent, as withdrawal from this causes depression, anxiety, ravishing hunger and extreme fatigue. It is also extremely hard to eat while taking Adderall, and you have to constantly drink water.

Now Ritalin, though very similar to Adderall in potency and effects, is actually a different molecule entirely. Adderall is dextroamphetamine, and Ritalin is Methylphenidate. Ritalin, while very similar is both slightly weaker, and has a different sort of “feeling” as an overall effect. Adderall gives a very speedy euphoria, while Ritalin allows one a more calming feeling (it can even make some patients tired, with or without ADHD.)

Rhoidola Rosea

Rhodiola Rosea is an adaptogen and completely natural, herbal nootropic-one of the few on this list that was not synthesized by men and that instead is found entirely in nature. Rhodiola promotes memory, focus and relaxation, in high doses however, it can give a very stimulating effect. Because it does not affect the acetylcholine receptors, and instead merely affects dopamine, serotonin, and GABA to a very mild degree, use of choline is not necessary with this drug.

Ashwagandha is nearly identical to Rhodiola Rosea in effects, with the only difference being that Ashwagandha is significantly stronger in overall potency. Ashwagandha is also an adaptogen herbal nootropic, and improves memory, focus and relaxation qualities-also once again, affecting dopamine, serotonin, and GABA all to very minute degrees. The synergy behind the trio however, is how the effct of an adaptogen is in fact so potent.

ALA stands for Alpha-Lipoic Acid, and is proven as very beneficial for both long-term heart and lung-function. ALA aids digestion, and can have effects on cognition as a byproduct of its added health benefits.

ALCAR is similar to choline in that it is very good for promoting the rebuilding of muscle after strenuous activity, it can be taken in high doses with little negative effects, and that it is cheap! Acetyl-L-Carnitine on some websites is sold for as low as $4.99 per 30 capsules!

One of the strongest nootropics available that’s not an ADHD prescription psychostimulant. I cannot say enough about this nootropic with regards to its focus, memory, and energy inducing effects. With regards to clarity of thought, boosting overall cognition, and finally, improving productivity, the only thing stronger is Adderall or Modafinil. Phenypiracetam crosses the blood brain barrier in just under an hour and starts work on the dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine and norepinephrine receptors of the brain.

Adrafinil is the legal Modafinil pro-drug that is a 99% effective molecule in comparison to brand name Provigil. Adrafinil by comparison is legal, also improves focus, working memory and energy levels, and from most online nootropic websites, you can actually get this within a few days, rather than waiting weeks for the real Modafinil on places like or

While this is a schedule IV prescription drug, Modafinil in fact is fairly easily bought online, if you’re willing to wait 21 days for shipping, from and (Modup offers an express shipping option for just 7 days). Modafinil is very close to Adrafinil in effects, and though its a tad stronger, most can’t notice the difference if comparing 600 milligrams of Adrafinil to 200 milligrams of Modafinil.

Cerebrolysin is a nootropic in the category of “extreme nootropics.” This nootropic is pretty much impossible to get your hands on, but is supposedly the most potent drug for mental abilities there is. Only downside? The only method of administration is via intramuscular injection-other methods simply are not effective when using this.

Desmopressin has been deemed by many biohackers, including Tim Ferriss, as “the photographic memory drug.” It is extremely dangerous and not recommended, but you can actually get this on biogenesis While this doesn’t give you a legitimate photographic memory, it does work wonders for STM!

Caffeine is a very potent nootropic that has been around for centuries. It is said that the British empire was built on tea, and for good reason. Caffeine can stave off feelings of tiredness and lethargy, and in high enough doses produces euphoria.

L-Theanine is actually stacked with caffeine often times, and serves as a great boost when used in conjunction with it. Not only does L-Theanine promote relaxation, via exasperation of the GABA receptors in the human brain, but it has been shown in clinical trials among mice to improve memory and depression, promote REM sleep, and to improve the symptoms of anxiety. Very similar in effects to taking something like a melatonin supplement.

Phenibut is the nootropic people use for both reducing anxiety, and getting a buzz. While it can make you very tired, Phenibut actually can have effects similar to having a small amount of alcohol, and has been shown to improve creativity, energy levels, and promote relaxation.

Picamilon is very similar to Phenibut in effects, but is slightly weaker. Like Phenibut, Picamilon promotes relaxation and reduces anxiety, and its effects rely primarily on the neurotransmitter GABA. Choline is not a necessity when using Picamilon, though because of its mechanism of action on the brain, it may help to make its effects more potent.

Noopept was shown in clinical trials to be 1000 times more powerful than Piracetam on a per milligram basis. What this means is that ten milligrams of noopept is even stronger than taking one gram of Piracetam, and scales up to that degree. Noopept like Piracetam makes its effect via the cholinergic system, so be sure to use a hefty choline source when taking this product.

Sunifiram on the other hand is an AMpakine nootropic, derived from the same molecule as Piracetam, but significantly stronger than even noopept. Sunifiram runs on a mechanism that makes it 5000 times stronger than Piracetam on a per milligram basis via the glutaminergic system. Choline needed.

Coluracetam is once again 1000 times more powerful than Piracetam is, yet is an enhanced version in that it does not require the use of Choline in order to potentiate its effects. Coluracetam, for this reason is very new and untested, yet also very expensive.

Nefiracetam is also a very untested, new and expensive racetam if you can find it anywhere. Nefiracetam has effects very similar to Noopept or Sunifiram, it is 500x stronger than Piracetam on a per milligram basis, and is a nootropic that can create a lot of euphoria if used in high doses.

Fasoracetam is probably the rarest racetam on this list, and if you can manage to get your hands on this, most doses are skewed, the product is fake or not pure, and you run a risk of getting scammed. Best bet is to stay away from this nootropic. With regards to what the real 100% natural fasoracetam would do however, its effects are similar to stacking Adrafinil and Phenylpiracetam together. Fasoracetam requires extensive choline use to prevent headaches while taking.

DMAE is used in many cases to help the skin look younger and more vibrant, and to minimize or exterminate wrinkles when taken over long periods of time. DMAE also however, is a very potent nootropic, and can have effects similar to choline when taken over long periods of time. Increased clarity of thought and memory come at standard doses, and DMAE can be a great asset to help boost the effects of Racetam-like nootropic drugs.

Huperzine A

Huperzine A is a potent herbal nootropic with many similarities to the nootropic herb Vinpocetine. Huperzine A promotes clarity of thought and relaxation via serotonin and GABA. Huperzine Serrata is an active ingredient both in a host of nootropic stacks, and in many anti-smoking aid kits for how it can help reduce cravings.

Unifiram is the sister drug of Sunifiram. Unifiram is an identical, much harder to synthesize, much more expensive AMpakine version of Sunifiram-which is why it’s hardly advertised online and rarely ever bought or sold.

Armodafinil crosses the blood-brain barrier in a manger much faster than Modafinil does, which contributes both to its overall increased potency when compared to Provigil, as well as its lessened side effects and “cleaner” feeling. Armodafinil comes in 150mg tablets and typically lasts for 15-20 hours, so be sure you have a long day of work ahead.

5-HTP is the active precursor amino acid in tryptophan, which helps to make the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain. 5-HTP is often times used as a potent sleep-aid, or atop coffee to help take the edge off and give a smoother, cleaner caffeine high.

Phenylalanine is the precursor to dopamine, and comes in the formula as the first amino acid in the process. The process to create dopamine is Phenylalanine>>L-Tyrosine>>L-Dopa>>Dopamine. Phenylalanine can be taken in high doses to get an energetic, lasting bout of mental clarity.

L-Dopa is what’s created right before dopamine is added to the brain’s neurotransmitter cycle. There’s a reason this is given to Parkinson’s’ patients low on dopamine, it’s the closest drug to straight dopamine that’s currently available on the market.

While creatine is known more as a weight-lifting supplement, Creatine has been shown to improve levels of ATP in the brain, and therefore helps to contribute to increased energy levels, better mental stamina over the long-term, and faster recovery time for both mind and body. Creatine has also been shown over the long-term to help prevent alzheimer’s, produce satellite cells at a faster rate in the muscles, and reduce fatigue even when the user has entirely gone off the creatine.

Vinpocetine exists mainly to make other nootropics and drugs stronger. While Vinpocetineon its own has very mild effects similar to choline, adding this nootropic to something like a racetam, AMpakine, or other cholinergic nootropic will boost that drugs effects significantly. Alpha Brain has used this in their stack alongside Huperzine A in order to create a potent, entirely natural stack.

Kratom is a plant with qualities very similar to that of the poppy seed (obviously this is not an opiate by any means and the effects are far far, far weaker) and that acts as an opioid agonist in the human brain. This contributed to a mild euphoric high, and among different strains, vastly different effects. Kratom comes in strains that are both sedating and stimulating, and is usually sold in the form of one ounce bags of powder. Kratom can cause addiction if one is not careful with dosing, and can produce unpleasant withdrawal symptoms similar to that of an opiate (obviously much milder, but the same, uncomfortable symptoms nonetheless.)

When most think of Marijuana, a nootropic is not the first use that comes to mind. However, Marijuana has been shown in dozens of studies to help promote better REM sleep, reduce anxiety levels, increase one’s energy, and provide euphoria. When taken as a sleep aid or and anxiolytic, Marijuana exhibits its anxiety effect by reducing cortisol, and allowing one a calm feeling of subtlety. Of course this is different than CBD oil, but if used on a regular basis, several mild withdrawal symptoms will persist including brain fog, depression, anxiety, loss of appetite, and insomnia.

Nicotine, the active chemical found in tobacco, is one of the best (if not the best) cognitive enhancers on this list for how it can stimulate, yet nearly eliminate anxiety at the exact same time. “The Buzz” as smokers call it, gives a pleasant euphoric sensation that also makes nicotine incredibly addictive. For brain function however, Nicotine is best used in the short term. Withdrawal from nicotine is among the most painful of all substances and can cause headaches, nausea, depression, anxiety, fatigue….just to name a few things. Nicotine is not something you just stop taking without going on a roller coaster of emotions and pain. Use with caution if at all.
